Entire Series - 'Recollections'
Recollections opens an avenue to create narrative vignettes of my past. As i think and build upon this series i find the content and experience becomes cathartic. 'Recollections” consists of large scale oil paintings and hand-pulled prints that have symbolic value. An ongoing series of monotypes titled "From the Beaten Path," portray common everyday objects that have been used to physically punish children. Parts of this series have been highly influenced by Vemeer and Jim Dine.
