recollections
This body of work reflects on the authoritarian environment of my youth and the lasting effects of obedience and silence. Through metaphor, repetition, and distressed surfaces, I examine the tension between belonging and resistance. Printed symbols and quiet figurative scenes reference restraint, isolation, and vulnerability. Rooted in personal experience, these works invite reflection on authority, belief, and the courage required to step outside the herd.
