Drawing from the rugged duality of Australia—the ancient, heat-soaked ochres and the salt-misted light of the coast—this series maps the "emotional chemistry" of a changing homeland.My process is an intuitive dialogue with memory. I begin with atmospheric washes—the soft, blurred uncertainty of a feeling—and wait for the landscape to emerge. Through thick, deliberate impasto marks, I pull these memories into focus. These "blooms" of color represent the sharp, tactile moments of life that refuse to be forgotten.In works like Flume (Fire & Bloom), I lean into the tension of change, capturing the vibrant, stubborn resilience that pushes through the charred earth.
