A fresh Chapter...

Today I’m pressing “publish” with a full heart.
After a season of quiet work behind the scenes, my website has been refreshed—and with it, I feel like I’m opening the door a little wider into my world as an artist. This space has always mattered to me. It’s more than a portfolio; it’s a reflection of how I see, feel, and move through the world with a curious spirit.
Art, for me, begins with stillness. It grows out of observation, light shifting across the land, the rhythm of rural days, the pause that comes when you give yourself permission to slow down. Over time, my work has evolved from stories from my past and alongside my life, and this update felt like the right moment to let my website catch up to where I am now.
You’ll notice the site is simpler, more spacious, and more intentional. That was a conscious choice. I wanted the work to breathe. I wanted room for quiet, for texture, for nuance.....much like the paintings themselves. Each piece carries its own story, but together they form a larger conversation about place, presence, and paying attention.
This update is also about connection. I’ve realized that sharing finished work isn’t enough, I want to share the process, the pauses, the questions, and the in-between moments. This blog will be a place where I write about painting, inspiration, creative rhythms, and the spaces that shape my work. Sometimes it may be about technique or materials; other times it may simply be about noticing something beautiful and fleeting.
If you’re new here, welcome. I’m so glad you found your way. And if you’ve been following my work for a while, thank you, for your encouragement, your messages, your quiet support. It means more than I can say.
My hope is that this site feels like an invitation rather than a presentation. A place to linger. A place to return to. A place that reminds you to slow down and look a little closer.
Thank you for being here at the start of this new chapter. I’m excited to keep sharing the journey with you.
With gratitude,
Leanne
